* The Cotoco Accelerator gives you the opportunity to reap the benefits of all the methods of learning in one framework.

Every year the CIPD publish their annual learning and development survey. In 2007, 56% of respondents cited on-the-job training and experience of work as the most effective ways of learning. In contrast, e-learning got 2% of the vote and even formal training courses only 21%. These results prompted Daniel Wain to observe that ‘the e-learning bubble has well and truly burst’ in his paper Lies, damned lies and a few home truths also published on the CIPD website.

On-the-job training has always been the most effective way of learning because the way we learn has been hard-wired into our brains since the dawn of time – and technology should work with this best way.

And yet, year after year, staggering amounts are spent on technologies that are known to be ineffective. Daniel Wain went on to lament: ‘We say we’ve no less budget to spend. And we keep saying things will change. And they don’t. Are we just eternal optimists... or stunned… deluded…?’

Is there a proven alternative?

There is a proven alternative – which is simply to leverage the most effective way of learning – on-the-job training delivered via job support toolkits. They deliver immediate results, do not rely on retention, stimulate an impressive ROI and save a great deal of time. They simply allow people to get on with it!

Cotoco job support toolkits focus on giving people everything they need to make their jobs easier and more rewarding. They are based on more than a decade of research and development. Over 2000 organisations worldwide have contributed to the on-going research programme to identify the critical success factors for top performance that feed directly into their design.

The Accelerator (as it is branded) integrates years of experience, knowledge, training and research into a single package. Your people will have a personal trainer, mentor and librarian at their fingertips. Using it on a regular basis will automatically help them become better at their jobs, however good they already are!

The Accelerator is designed around what your top performers do which means it systematically propagates the most efficient way of getting the job done. This ensures that average and poor performers raise their game. The result is significantly improved productivity.
How effective is the Accelerator?

In the CIPD survey, as well as 41% asserting that on-the-job training is the most effective way to learn, 15% cite the experience of work itself and 10% cite coaching and mentoring as the most effective ways. The Accelerator also covers these angles, often with years of work experience and the ability to use it as a personal mentor carefully integrated into its design. In total, the Accelerator is in tune with 66% of the survey’s respondents.

The Accelerator is a low-risk solution expressly designed to propagate high performance throughout your organisation. It is completely in line with the latest results from the CIPD survey.

Use it. Your people, and your business, will thrive.
