It goes without saying that following business fashion, in the same way as your competitors, will not enable you to seriously outperform them.
You may have top performers who are really achieving by doing things differently from everybody else. Quite often:
- The top 10% of the sales force deliver around 80% of profits
- The middle 80% of the sales force deliver the remaining 20% of profits leaving
- The bottom 10% actually costing you money!
Imagine, then, what your profits would be if you raised the game of the middle 80% and bottom 10%, and then nudged up the top 10% a little bit more? |
