What is a job support toolkit?

The Cotoco job support toolkit provides a scalable, efficient way of providing practical support – acting like your electronic mentor.  The content of job support toolkits varies widely depending on the job role and the barriers that exist to performance.

Cotoco job support toolkits are highly visual and interactive, so the best way to understand them is to see one live!  Why not give us a call on:

Tel: +44 0870 748 1400 or e-mail sales@cotoco.com and arrange to see several examples?

How can I buy a toolkit?

You cannot buy a toolkit ‘off the shelf.’  Each one is bespoke, because each company has different needs they wish to address. The initial implementation is usually ready in just 90 days from project kick-off.

Job support toolkits are very interactive; the best way of understanding the significant contribution they can make to productivity is to see them live. Why not call us to arrange a session at your premises or ours?

How much does a job support toolkit cost?

Projects vary in cost from £25,000 to over £200,000.  We have consistently delivered over a number of years and projects tend to pay for themselves, within a matter of weeks, for example:-

1995   SDX Business Systems spent just under £90,000 and increased their sales by £8m in the first year of using the accelerator, £2.4m of that was attributed to the sales accelerator (30% increased sales).

2000   Eyretel spent just under £42,000 on a toolkit and closed unexpected sales worth £0.5m within 8 weeks and then made overall business savings of £2.5m in the first year.

2005   A networking company spent $116,000 on a project and within 6 months, in the Middle Eastern region alone, attributed $2.5m of sales.  But more importantly, prior to the introduction of this toolkit, resellers were very reluctant to sell the product in hand.

Why should I buy from Cotoco?

Cotoco has been supporting businesses for over 13 years. Not only that…our Chairman, Professor Coulson-Thomas has been running the world’s largest research programme into winning business behaviours – so we factor this knowledge into all our toolkits enabling everyone to get the job done right first time.

How we deliver
Initial consultancy

Cotoco works with you to identify objectives that focus on your customer (either internal or external or both) and metrics related to business performance, rather than on the job holder in particular.  The result is a company bespoke toolkit, either a Sales or Productivity Accelerator, created for your staff which will quickly improve job performance. These tools can be kept up to date automatically and their usage monitored through regular reports.

Project kick-off.

Projects often begin with workshops  involving the key players, to bottom out requirements and establish goals, timescales, budgetary requirements and content.

Interviews and scoping

Cotoco conducts a series of interviews with your top performers to find out the secrets of their success.  We then interview average to bottom performers to identify barriers to performance and to provide a control group to work out what top performers do differently.

Cotoco identifies the winning processes used by your top performers and then introduces the pertinent success factors, from our winning behaviours research

Lessons from research factored in.

Our Chairman, Professor Colin Coulson-Thomas runs what is thought to be the largest research project of its type in the world. In this, he identifies the critical success factors and winning behaviours of top performing staff – the things that make a real difference. Over the past 13 years, Cotoco has pioneered and refined a unique way of making it easy for staff to put these winning behaviours into practice and we factor this into all our toolkits, making it easy for all staff to perform well.

Prototype

A working prototype establishes the visual style and navigation. This is agreed by the customer before full development is begun.

Development and creation of a compelling story
Then development commences – graphics/animations are produced, audio may be recorded, content preparation and programming begins. The majority of customers choose to place a compelling story at the front end of their toolkit.  Cotoco drafts audio scripts and storyboards for the animations and case studies that will describe key customer business drivers; reasons why customers should buy from you; pieces of evidence.  Following this the Cotoco design artists create animations that bring the dialogues to life and facilitate the creation of professional voice overs in the recording studio.
Decision trees determined and toolkits created
Cotoco factors in all the pertinent decisions required for success to enable all staff to perform well and this process is factored into the design of the bespoke toolkit to enable everyone to implement best business practice.
Testing
Many of our products go out to a very wide target audience. We follow rigorous testing procedures using multiple platforms (including multiple-languages and operating systems if required).
Client reviews
As well as approving the design stages, you will receive an alpha product (and sometimes a beta as well) to give you an opportunity to review and comment on the programmed product. As well as such formal reviews, our project managers work closely with you throughout the project.
Delivering the toolkit
Cotoco installs the toolkit in whatever format is required, such as on a secure server, and produces copies for your use which may take the format of a CDROM, USB drive or whatever method you require.
Launching the toolkit.
Cotoco facilitates a launch workshop for users, clarifying the use of the Accelerator, and will run as many additional workshops as required by you.
Roll out of the toolkit
Cotoco can oversee and help you to ensure a successful roll out, thereby ensuring maximum use of the toolkit and achieving optimum performance.
On-going maintenance

After creating your toolkit, we do not like to leave you in the lurch. Our on-going support and update maintenance option ensures that you get the best value from your investment, ensuring  that staff are kept up to date at all times, through automatic updates via the web. Information on usage of the Accelerator can be collected and used to direct further development.

Most companies choose to take out an on-going maintenance programme with Cotoco who give you a dedicated and named individual to contact to personally ensure that your toolkit is constantly kept up to date.
90 days research, design and deliver
Your Sales or Productivity Accelerator can take as little as 90 days to research, design and deliver – all uniquely tailored to your business. Award-winning technology combined with a sharp methodology means a fast start and rapid completion. The focus is unrelenting – to accelerate your business.
